Are you a physically disabled adult, or a parent or guardian of a physically disabled adult looking for a fun activity program?  Play Beyond Expectations is a non-profit organization with a proven program based on carefully-chosen and supervised gym-based activities to help the individual grow and enhance his/her physical, social and mental abilities.

This is a flexible program for young adults 18+ with disabilities such as cerebral palsy, mild developmental delay, or autism, and are able to play unassisted.  It is held in the gym at the Esquimalt Recreation Centre.

If you have never learned any sport or want to improve your skills, this program is for you.   Our 2020/2021 Program begins with an Information/Demonstration Session on October 6, 2020 at 1:30-3 PM, Esquimalt Recreation Centre (527 Fraser St,) and You are invited!

IMPORTANT:  It is now mandatory (COVID) that you pre-register, by completing the registration for the Play Beyond Expectations sessions through the Esquimalt Recreation Centre by phone (250-412-8500), or online.  Completing this Survey, will let us know to save a spot for you if you have difficulty registering, and sending it in via the link provided will help us to plan the sessions to serve you better.

There is a session fee (only $5.75 per participant per session and parent/support workers are free) but the October 6th session is free.   Just register for it and see for yourself what to expect.   Fill in the brief survey today--It will help us help you.

Please note:  We do not want to turn anyone away.  If the session fee is a problem, please contact Brian (see email at the end of this notice) to make alternate arrangements.

AND we are developing a “Physical Work Skills” Development Program -- if you have never been employed, this program can help you. With the slow re-opening of the Rec Centre this program will start later but the people who fill in the questionnaire now, will get first choice on the programs later.
